Description:
Cabaret Red Light is a mix of original music, dark comedy, puppet theater and revival burlesque in the spirit of the decadent 1920s. While each performance features an entirely new line-up, all Red Light shows are composed in equal parts (and near-fatal doses) of barefaced agitprop and bare naked flesh. ArcheDream for HUMANKIND, an international mask and dance theater company, communicates universal ideas and emotions to promote understanding and compassion. ADHK’s costumes are illuminated with ultra-violet light, which accentuates the supernatural aspect and reveals the dreamscape as the action unfolds. Situated at the forefront of artistic experimentation, Bowerbird is a Philadelphia based nonprofit organization that presents music and interdisciplinary events by local and internationally recognized artists at a variety of venues across the region. Expect some electronic sounds, some jazzy sounds, some other world sounds all manners of movement and dance - and an overall excellent sampling of Philadelphia’s creative wealth.
