- UP NEXT: Colleen & Kudzo by Pat McGeever, directed by Carol Laratonda. June 4 at 10:30pm. Colleen & Kudzo is a love story like no other, a cancer play without parallel. It begins with a tiny lump on Colleen's chin, which leads to a frightful diagnosis. Her boyfriend Dennis, who happens to be the country's #1 standup tragedian, promises that he will stand by her, that together they will conquer the disease, and he will lover her as he's loved no on in his life. Kudzo (her disease) prmises that he will tell her the truth. Thus the battle is joined betweent two suitors.

Join Plays & Players and Philadelphia Dramatists Center as the best Philadelphia area playwrights try their work out on local audiences for the first time! With a relaxed atmosphere that includes drinks being served from the neighboring Quig’s Pub, audiences get an opportunity to interact with the artists and a sneak peek at the rising stars of the local theater.
About this month's playwright:
A recent Philadelphia playwrights, Pat McGeever began writing plays in 2002 and has completed 15 plays of various lengths since, mostly produced in Indianapolis, including one published work and one that was made into a feature on video.

All tickets are available one half hour before the performance for which you have tickets. This event takes place at Plays & Players 3rd Floor, and there is limited seating. Please note that the 3rd Floor space does not have elevator or wheelchair accessibility.
